2001-02-28 in Goa, India Last Pics of Goa Finally. I did it. I managed to escape the evil clutches of the palm trees and coconuts Before I left we had an interesting week sorting out the freshly arrived spares and more importantly the not-so-freshly-arrived Ariella (craving sleep and sun in equal doses). The first errand to run was of course, the tyres. My bike had developed a rather nice wobble due to warped (read: completely shagged) tyres.

So off we went down to Mapusa Town, Goa to find someone to break the beading on these damn tubeless tyres. Being the perfect combination of both obstinate and lazy we decided the easiest way to transport the tyres was to wear them (see picture). This method results in minimum effort being made in securing them to the bike although it can be quite a funny sight trying to load the tyres on oneself without assistance. Once the tyres were changed, I tried one of Martin Rooimans handy tyre changing tips Use the sole of your foot to tighten your nuts curious? See picture!

While I was tidying up loose ends and completing the swop of my laptop for something a little bigger, Ariella seemed to slide into the techno-jumble of Camp Raucher (not to be confused with Camp-Raucher!!) and start knocking out her own stories (see picture).

Robert, on the other hand, always on a mission, decided it was a perfect time to get his photo taken with the owner of the oldest Beemer in Goa.

On Wednesday 28th of February I packed my bike and set my alarm clock I was heading south the next day.
