Bungeeeeeeee

One day of Bungee Jumping, one day of white water rafting and three days of canyoning, not a bad way to spend five days

It had to be done. There we were sitting up late at night trying to think of an experience singularly more terrifying than driving in India, and in a moment of pure inspiration it came to us bungee jump. The bungee we had in mind is not just your average bungee, no, this is a jump from the longest suspension bridge in Nepal into a Canyon 160 metres deep. We were told not to worry, as the rope is only 130 metres long, very encouraging.

The morning we were to bungee jump I was nursing a hangover from hell, of course, like the martyr I am, I drove for three hours to the bungee jump resort. This place is on the wrong side of the canyon that one is supposed to bungee from, meaning that in order to check in one has to walk the length of the very suspension bridge that at the back of my mind we were thinking no way! Ariella practically had to be dragged across the bridge the first time we crossed it. Bear in mind the only reason she was jumping was to cure her fear of heights, thats my sis. Well, it took a couple of attempts but she eventually jumped. I, being a bit of a flash geezer, had my jump videoed and will be converting this to digital format and making it available on site in the near future. Bungee jumping is a great experience and I recommend it wholeheartedly.

The next day we went rafting, which seemed a bit of a let down after the previous days adrenaline experience. We did get stuck in a rapid and have to swim it, which was quite exciting, but the next day is where all the new thrills began. Canyoning. The most fun you can have outdoors with rope and a harness. Believe that? OK, OK maybe not but its not a bad alternative. All this sport involves is getting into a nice rubber wetsuit and putting on a climbing harness and an old pair of sneakers and throwing your self off the nearest waterfall, quite a laugh, actually.

All this action and we still havent managed to conquer Ariellas fear of heights. Theres always skydiving

Still no adrenaline?
