Packing up the bikes and heading for the sky

We had reached the end of the road. No way through China without paying shedloads of cash and no way through Burma, cos, after all it is Burma!

Richard, Paul, Tony and I all had to arrange shipping our bikes via Thai Air Cargo into Bangkok. We found a shipping agent and sat back and relaxed. Until we had to go off to the airport to disassemble our bikes and load them into custom built crates. This is a typical process every motorbike overlander goes through, although given the choice most people would drive through Burma.

So this is just a round of snapshots of the 4 of us packing and crating our bikes, not the most exciting bit of footage to ever hit the site, but still worth a mention.

Driving the last nail in my crate, for sentimental value

it only took 17 people to carry it, why do people think it is so big?
